पडलेली फूले वेचता वेचता
पाने गलायाला लागली
आपली माणसे जोड़ता जोड़ता
परकीच आपली वाटायला लागली

प्रत्यक्ष भेटीपेक्षा इमेल, चाट आणि

फेसबुक सोयीची वाटायला लागली

मोबाइलचा नंबर कपड्याप्रमाणे बदलू लागले

जुने मित्र ल्याण्ड-लाईन सारखे मागे पडू लागले

फोन मध्ये आता फोटो काढता येवू लागले

आपल्यांचे चेहरे मात्र दूर जावू लागले

नोटांची जागा क्रेडीट कार्ड ने घेतली

बापूंच्या विचारांची गरजही आता कमी होवू लागली

विमानाचे प्रवास सहज शक्य होवू लागले

उंच उडताना सगळेच छोटे वाटू लागले

आपलेपणा असला कि क्षुल्लक कारणाने डोळे पाणवतात

नाहीतर डोळ्यातले अश्रूही गळणे विसरतात

खरच का आपण प्रगती केली असे वाटते?

कि प्रगतीच्या नावाने स्वतःची फसवणूक झाल्याचे भासते?

आपल्यांपासून दूर जाणे ह्याला का प्रगती म्हणतात ?

कि आपल्यांना जवळ ठेवणे ह्याला संस्कृती म्हणतात?

विभिन्न स्वभावाच्या लोकांना जवळ ठेवणारे नाते..
निरपेक्ष प्रेम असणारा आणि सतत वाहणारा झरा ...

रात्री दोन वाजता कट्ट्यावर चहाला नेणारा तो ..
आणि कधीहि नाही न म्हणणारा मी ..
एका हाकेवर उभा असेलला तो ..
बालपणापासून केस पांढरे होईपर्यंत जवळ असणारा ..
अजून बरेच काही..न सांगता येण्या सारखा..
पण नेहमीच हवा असणारा ...
